Our School Upon the Hill

Welcome to Windsor Hills Math/Science & Aerospace Elementary School — Home of the Red Tails!

 

Windsor Hills Elementary is located in the beautiful and historic Windsor Hills community. Our goal is to help every scholar reach their full potential in a safe, supportive, and exciting learning environment. We prepare students for college, careers, and the future by building strong thinking skills, creativity, and confidence.

 

Our scholars learn through hands-on lessons in Science, Math, Aerospace, Art, Robotics, and Technology. We connect learning to real life and encourage students to ask questions, solve problems, and think in new ways.

 

We serve nearly 300 students from TK through 5th grade. Our diverse school community helps students learn from each other and grow together.

 

Special Programs & Learning Spaces

Windsor Hills offers unique programs you won’t find anywhere else:

  • STEM Maker Space: Our science room includes a Maker Space where students can create and build using tools like Cricut machines, 3D printers, a sewing machine, and a table saw. Scholars learn by designing, testing, and improving their ideas.
  • Black Wings Museum: We are the only school in LAUSD with a Black Wings Museum. This special space honors Black leaders and their achievements in aviation and aerospace.
    • The museum includes flight simulators, making us the only elementary school with this technology, and a wind tunnel where students can explore how flight works in a fun and hands-on way.

Strong Teaching & Support

Our teachers work together to provide high-quality lessons that challenge and support every student. We also focus on social-emotional learning to help scholars build strong relationships and confidence.

We believe families are important partners. We offer many ways for parents to stay involved and connected to our school.
