Principal's Message
Dear Windsor Hills Math Science Aerospace Magnet School Community,
It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Windsor Hills Math Science Aerospace Magnet. I am truly humbled to join a school community with a proud legacy of academic excellence, innovation, and culturally relevant practices. Our dedicated staff and hardworking scholars have already begun the important work—and will continue—to restore our school to a place where scholars are performing at their fullest potential. I believe in the incredible promise of our students and the power of a united school community. Together, we will continue building a rigorous, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where every scholar can thrive.
My journey in education spans over 24 years and has been rooted in a deep belief in the power of public schools to transform lives. I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles—as a classroom teacher for 16 years, various out-of-classroom teacher leader roles, a school leader, and a Local District Instructional Coordinator. Along the way, I’ve remained committed to advancing equity, supporting innovation, and fostering excellence at every level.
I’m a proud graduate of the UCLA Teacher Education Program and the Summer Principals Academy at Teachers College, Columbia University. I’ve been honored to receive recognitions such as LAUSD Teacher of the Year and the UTLA Platinum Apple Award, and have had the joy of mentoring new educators as a Master Teacher for UCLA as well as our District’s Teacher Growth and Induction program. One of the highlights of my career was helping to design and lead an autonomous pilot school focused on STEM and Project-Based Learning, which was approved by the LAUSD Board of Education.
Outside of school, I cherish spending time outdoors with my husband and daughters, and we love to travel together as a family. As a native Angeleno, I was raised by parents who grew up in Texas during the Jim Crow era—an experience that has deeply shaped my commitment to justice, inclusivity, and the power of education to uplift communities.
At Windsor Hills, we are united by a shared mission: to maximize every scholar’s learning potential through high-quality instruction, innovative Project-Based Learning, and a school culture that nurtures individual pride and purpose. I am committed to working collaboratively with all of you—our incredible educators, staff, families, and community members—to bring this mission to life each and every day.
Thank you for the warm welcome I’ve already received. I am truly honored to serve this remarkable school, and I look forward to a year of growth, joy, and achievement together.
With gratitude and excitement,
Meteka Bullard, M.Ed., NBCT
Principal
